Transition to School Program
The Transition to School Program at Moree East Public School is a highly supported, 6-week initiative designed to help children build the skills and confidence they need for a successful start to Kindergarten.
Delivered in small, supportive groups, the program focuses on:
- Early literacy and numeracy foundations
- Fine-motor and gross-motor development
- Following routines and participating in group activities
- Building confidence, independence, and self-help skills
- Social and emotional development, including turn-taking and cooperation
- Experienced early-learning educators
- Structured play-based activities
- Individualised support for children who may need additional assistance
- Positive relationship-building between children, families, preschools, daycares and school staff
- Create a smooth, confident transition into Kindergarten
- Strengthen connections between home, school, and community
- Ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn

School contributions
In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
