Galamaay Brothers is a group of dads, pops, uncles, big brothers and community men that support Moree East Public School. The aim of the Galamaay Brothers is to connect the male members of the community to the school in a positive way.
The Group is active within the school, helping with functions such as BBQs and building cultural awareness for boys and men, by connecting to the country with sacred site excursions.
The Brothers meet every second Wednesday, 11am at the School. The meets consist of a Yarn Up where the group often invites community groups, such as youth services, other men's groups, and government agencies that work with the local men.
New community members are always welcome and supported to be a part of the school. If you want to know more about Galamaay Brothers Group, please contact the school and ask for Uncle Matty Priestly – Community Engagement Officer.
